  • University degree in industrial or environmental engineering.
  • At least five years of experience in civil or industrial engineering and/or in the maintenance of military infrastructure and assets.
  • Experience in sustainability and environmental management.
  • Knowledge of technical support software, such as Auto CAD, GIS, and BIM methodology.
  • Knowledge of International Organization for Standardization (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO45001)
  • Knowledge of the National, European and International regulations, agreements and protocols addressing environmental protection.
  • Experience in the Spanish Armed Forces structure and organization.
  • Proficiency in writing technical documents and correspondence in the English and Spanish language.
  • Knowledge of information systems with experience in using personal computers and software packages.
  • Spanish language ability to interface mostly with Spanish customers
  • Knowledge of modeling and simulation software (virtual environment).
  • The consultant must hold, or be able to obtain, a valid “NATO SECRET” security clearance.
  • NATO's two official languages are English and French. The work of this consultancy is mainly conducted in English, therefore fluency in that language is essential and a working knowledge of French is desirable. Due to the post specific requirements, fluency in the Spanish language is also essential.

  • Contract duration: 12 months (on-call)
  • Level: II

IMPORTANT NOTES

In accordance with the NATO employment regulations, the contract will be established for
a 12-month period (on-call). The working language will mainly be English.
The duty stations will be Home or any other area as required.

Moreover, due to the broad interest in NSPA and the large number of potential candidates, telephone or email enquiries cannot be dealt with.

The Agency would appreciate it if addressee countries could provide their support by submitting candidates whose security clearance can be effected (or confirmed) rapidly and who could report for duty as soon as possible after selection.
