About the position
We are looking for a Communications support consultant. Your primary focus will be to support planning and coordination of external and internal communications, and knowledge management for positioning the ImpactSF's mission and impact pathways among priority stakeholders. Working closely with the Digital and Internal Communications team and Publications, Brand and Graphic Design Team, the consultant will contribute to narratives, content production and outreach opportunities. The contract will run for a period of 3 months, renewable dependent on availability of resources and performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the implementation of the internal and external communication strategy.
2. Contribute to ImpactSF's communications and knowledge products (stories, releases, blogs, videos, podcasts, digital content, publications, etc.)
3. Support ImpactSF's visibility and positioning in major events (AFS, CBD, UNFCCC's COP etc.)
4. Coordinate global and regional actions with the Alliance Global and Regional communications officers (Africa, Asia, Latin America) and with CGIAR Outreach & Communications, and Partnerships and Advocacy units and team members.  
5. Contribute to the design and organization of high-level strategic meetings, knowledge management, and capacity building workshops, seminars, and events.
6. Provide advice on external communications opportunities and issues related to ImpactSF's mission.
7. Contribute to the production of Alliance's multimedia content, such as stories, videos, podcasts, awareness-raising materials, research briefs and reports, digital products, and capacity building tools.

Requirements

Education, experience, and skills

Bachelors degree in Communications, Marketing, Agribusiness, Natural Resources and working in interdisciplinary programs related to agriculture, environment and development studies preferred.
Good understanding of food system solutions at the nexus of agriculture, environment, and social dimensions in developing countries.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills
Ability to create engaging digital content for use on social media platforms to a high standard, using platforms like Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, Headliner etc.
Experience with photography and/or videography desirable
Demonstrate initiative and creativity in reaching and enthusing new and existing stakeholders and working in a multi-stakeholder environment
Well-developed organization skills with the ability to deliver on-time and manage numerous tasks simultaneously.
