General Qualifications
  • University degree, preferably in an aviation engineering related field, or Quality Management, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Risk Management.
  • Thorough knowledge of and extensive working experience in a military or civilian aviation maintenance organization.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and methods with work experience in project management environments.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills, including the writing of clear and concise reports.
  • Ability to facilitate/present persuasively and negotiate effectively to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Ability to manage time and work effectively under pressure while producing quality products under short notice deadlines.
  • Sound digital literacy with experience in using office automation systems and software applications, e.g. Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
 
Specific Qualifications
  • Recognised training as a quality professional.
  • Thorough knowledge of Aviation Regulations, in particular European Aviation Safety Agency, USA Federal Aviation or Military Airworthiness requirements.
  • At least three years of proven experience of applied Risk Management, process review and improvement implementation activities, ideally in service organisations.
  • Minimum four years of experience in logistics from the user requirement to the end user support.
  • Experience in quality system audits.
  • Very good knowledge of Quality, Environment, Health and Safety, Risk Management and the standards related to ISO 9001, 14001, 18001 & 31000.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
 
LANGUAGE QUALIFICATIONS
  • NATO's two official languages are English and French. The work of this post is mainly conducted in English, therefore fluency in that language is essential and working knowledge of French is desirable

POST DETAILS
  • Basic monthly salary: EUR 7 370,72 tax free.

Qualified redundant NATO civilian candidates of the same grade will be considered in priority.

Interviews are expected to be held approximately six weeks after the application closing date. The Talent Acquisition and Development Office shall let you know in due course the outcome of the screening process.
