Job Overview:

The Monitoring and Compliance Program Manager sits within IRC headquarters Resettlement, Asylum and Integration (RAI) Department which manages programming that serves refugees, asylum seekers and other types of newcomers.The headquarters monitoring and compliance team reviews and evaluates service delivery quality for a network of local offices. The Monitoring and Compliance Program Manager supports the overall quality assurance and compliance of the R&P, Matching Grant and Preferred Communities Programs. They will work in close collaboration with the Senior Program Officer, Monitoring and Compliance, and other program officers on the Resettlement team. Their work will focus on programmatic quality assurance, tracking of compliance metrics, logistical and administrative work. They will ensure to align protocols and procedures with the overall goals of resettlement programs as well as RAI’s strategic objectives, within Resettlement, Asylum and Integration (RAI) Department.

Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare follow-up reports through desk monitoring activities, analysis of findings and development of recommendations.
  • Track trends across internal and donor monitoring and produce quarterly reports for dissemination to RAI Senior Leadership Group.
  • In collaboration with program officers, manage monitoring travel calendar and ensure activities stay on track.
  • Support editing and submission of quarterly reports in a timely manner.
  • Support proposal development by gathering data, drafting and editing annual proposal materials.
  • Support the development and delivery of training related to designated area of expertise, to include workshops, webinars, self-paced e-learning, online courses, etc.
  • Analyze trends across the network using relevant data sources and advise Senior Program Officer on best course of action.
  • In collaboration with the Senior Program Officer, Monitoring & Compliance, update monitoring tools and manuals to ensure efficient and accurate data collection.
  • Participate in on-site monitoring, as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field of study preferred.

Work Experience:

  • Relevant professional experience in human services field required; minimum of two to three years’ experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated command of databases, MS Excel and evidence-based decision making.

  • Strong relationship building, diplomacy, and networking skills; ability to effectively build internal and external relationships.
  • Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written; proficiency in language(s) spoken by client group is desired.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), especially MS Excel; ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research, and problem-solving purposes.

Working Environment:

  • A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities.
  • Occasional domestic (non-local) travel required; up to 10%.
  • May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
